January

  • 1st - The 2009 General Election is held in Austenasia. The Subjects of the Empire vote either for Crown Prince Jonathan to remain as Prime Minister, or for the Empire to return to the UK. The first option is unanimously chosen.
  • 10th - Tómás II proclaimed King of Limavady the predecessor state to the Kingdom of Coleraine. his son Seán, heir apparent to the throne is named first Archduke of Noamh Séamus.

February

  • 3rd - The Skirmish of Beddington Park: Victory for Crown Prince Jonathan of Austenasia and an entourage of friends against an unprovoked snowball attack by some British teenagers.
  • 11th - The War With East Germany: Prince Christopher of Vikesland leads a covert team of operatives to Ernst Thälmann Island to conduct a reconnaisance mission on behalf of the Republic of Molossia. An East German flag is found.
  • 15th - Stiofán mac Gabha is suspended from his office of Chancellor of the Aristocracy. Lucius Kenley, Esq., MP of Noamh Alaois is named Acting Chancellor. At 3.00 PM mac Gabha resigned, Kenley is elected by a vote of 7-6 in favour as the next Chancellor of the Aristocracy of Coleraine.

March

This month was first labelled as Black March by the Camurian Government and then the community surrounding the Grand Unified Micronational and it's members. In the Grand Empire of Fuzzel, March 2009 is known as Militaristic March because of the Somplenese-Molossian War and War over POMHB.

  • 4th - A new flag featuring 6 stars for each province/territory of Petorio is adopted.
  • 19th - End of the War over POMHB: Victory for Empire of Somple, Kingdom of Camuria, Ribonia, Wakamatsu, Callenum, Kurashi. Belaronia surrenders
  • 26th - Emperor Kevin I suggests that micronations get together and vote on the 7 micronational wonders of the world.
  • 27th - The signing of the 'Alliance and Territorial Definition treaty' occurs between the Kingdom of Finismund and Keep Watch.
  • 28th - The Supreme General Assembly of the USMR formally approves the emergency nomination of Kai Roosevelt to the office of Premier of the USMR following the announcement of Robert Lethler's resignation.
  • 28th - The 1st anniversary of Cakeland's founding.

April

Camurian War begins April 7th
  • 1st - Purge of 1 April 2009 in the Grand Empire of Fuzzel: Militarists under Leopold Evans take over the Zinzendorf Congress and force out most of the members of the Liberal-Conservative Compromise Party (LCCP)
  • 7th - Bryn Thomas, MP elected Chancellor of the Commons of Coleraine. His seat in the House of Commons is taken by his younger brother Bedwyr Thomas, MP.
  • 11th - Francisville referendum on parliament as part of The Second Constitutional Reform of 2009
  • 25th - South Kilttown is annexed by Austenasia, and Lord William becomes its Acting Representative
  • 29th - One year since the independence of Bzan.

May

  • 9th - Keep Watch expands its territory by claiming the coast of Queen Maud Land. This new territory is now known as the province of Bewarian.
  • 10th - His Majesty King David of Rizja celebrates his fourteenth birthday.
  • 11th - The Federation of Cascia del Pinzanello officially becomes part of St.Charlie. St.Charlie has now an area of 115'300 squared meters.
  • 15th - Andyria annexes West Borovia.
  • 20th - Coronation of HIM Emperor Terry I of Austenasia
  • 25th - The Skirmish of the Treasury: victory for the newly formed Austenasian Army, led by Crown Prince Jonathan and Lord General William, against friends of Princess Caroline (sister of the Crown Prince) who attacked the Prime Minister's Office and stole the Treasury. Princess Caroline is arrested by the Austenasian Police for her part in the attack.
  • 25th - St.Charlie is 6 months old. A hundred and eighty-two days have passed since the 23rd of November.
  • 26th - Sandefreistikhan declares sovereignty from the Republic of Trénois.
  • 31st - The Parliament of Austenasia finds Princess Caroline guilty of conspiracy to assault, attempted assault and armed robbery, all committed during the Skirmish of the Treasury. She is found innocent of treason by lack of evidence, but sentenced to a public apology and numerous community services.
  • 31st - The Republic of Danesland was founded

June

Ex-Emperor Timmy III of Neutralia declared June 2009 to be White June in order to promote peace. Emperor Timmy IV and his ministers announce that any micronation in the world can now join the North American Micronational Congress as long as they strive for peace and have a stable government. This is done to promote White June.

  • 1st - Flandrensis and Finismund stop the Siple War.
  • 3rd - Francisville national election 2009 results are released and the first parliament is formed.

July

  • 8th - The Republic of Taigh a Bata celebrates it's first President's Day, as President Scott Harwood turned 15. A fine day was had by all, even though the President's trip up to Loch Lomond had to be cancelled.
  • 23rd - Lavalon reorganised as a Republic.
  • 29th - Start of the Rhodesian War: Rhodesia declares war on Finismund for supposedly breaking a treaty (which they themselves are breaking by declaring war on them).
  • 31st - Tsar Royale Tierney turns 16
  • 31st - Imperial Republic of Nemkhavia formed by the Nemkhav Council of Settlement, former Chairman Mark Meehan appointed as Premier.

August

  • 1st - NottaLotta Acres declares independence.
  • 3rd - Prince Thomas founds the Principality of Old-Saeftinghe.
  • 3rd - the Republic of Taigh a Bata creates it's own currency, the Taigh a Bata Dollar.
  • 3rd - Edict of Clonrise passes into law in Coleraine.
  • 4th - Seventh Anniversary of the founding of Lavalon celebrated.
  • 4th - First New European legislative election begins.
  • 6th-7th - At midnight, the Sacred Republic of Plau Zuiru marks the ending of the 15th Year of Serenity and the beginning of the 16th Year in it's State religious calendar.
  • 10th - Kingdom of Pipeland established.
  • 11th - Pipeland Pound created.
  • 12th - Intermicronational State of Northwest Island established, along with the Northwest Island Pound.
  • 14th - The Republic of Taigh a Bata establishes the Taigh a Bata Times newspaper and occupies Pipeland.
  • 14th - Dave Scantlebury is elected the first premier of Pamale Territory, Rizja.
  • 15th - The National Congress of the Erusian National Communist Party meets to elect its 3rd Central Committee.
  • 16th - The 8th year anniversary of the Crown Principality of Landashir. Founders Day. NB: National Day falls on 25th March, the Crown Prince's Birthday
  • 17th - First election season starts in the Republic of Taigh a Bata.
  • 21st - Prince Thomas of the Principality of Old-Saeftinghe sends e-mails to various states and micronations encouraging the dissolving of Flandrensis, and crowns himself the Grand Duke of Flandrensis.
  • 23rd - New European elections end.
  • 25th - Taigh a Bata election season ends.
  • 25th - Tor Pendente and Caroline Charlotte officially become part of the Federal Republic of St.Charlie.
  • 26th - The Kingdom of Square annexes the Territory of Victoria, separated into two regions of former southern Kazakhstan.
  • 27th - Birthday of Grand Duke Sutherland of Francisville
  • 28th - The 1st Wrythe Heavy Infantry Platoon of the Empire of Austenasia invades and annexes Commius Flats, adding it to the town of Wrythe.
  • 28th - Ohio Empire 1st Independence Day
  • 29th - The 2nd Central Party Congress of the CPUSMR is held to elect a Central Committee and Politburo.
  • 30th - Sandus abolishes the Lamate and establishes the National Congress, effectively becoming a Direct Democracy.

September

October

  • 15th - The Kingdom of Square holds its second General Assembly. Gaining further independence from Canada, improving the quality of its present currency system, improving intermicronational relations, and preparation for a potential economic emergency in surrounding countries are among the top priorities to be discussed.

November

November 21st: New European coup d'état begins in the Chicago Skirmish
