The Afondalic byra is the currency of the Kingdom of Afondale. It was introduced on the 4th of April 2008.
The Byra was introduced in April 2008 because Dan Wilcox wanted to introduce his own currency. However, the byra has never been widely used, with the Pound sterling used instead. Coins have never been widely minted either, with only a few examples made. On April 16 2014, it was announced that the byra would be suspended for a while starting on May 1.
The current note designs depict animals native to the UK.
