The Kingdom of Belaĵio is a Micronation that was founded on the 29th of March, 2016 by King Harry I. It is made up of several enclaves that are surrounded by the city of Melbourne, Australia and one by Brisbane, Australia.

The name Belaĵio comes from the Esperanto roots bela - beautiful,  aĵ - implies concreteness and io - a common suffix that countries end in. Thus it means Country of Beauty.

The Kingdom of Belaĵio  officially declared independence on the 29th of March, 2016. His Majesty, King Harry I did this by writing an email to the UN, Julie Bishop (Australia's then current Foreign Affairs Minister) and the Victorian State Government. Although it declared independence on the 29th of March, 2016, King Harry I had had the idea of Belaĵio in his head for a couple weeks. In this time he had begun to shape the initial nation and government.

On the 30th of March, 2016, King Harry I decided that the whole country was a city and so the capital city was changed to Belaĵio.

On the 20th of April, 2016, King Harry I decided that each enclave was it's own separate city and changed the capital city from Belaĵio to Centrurbo.

On the 26th of April, 2016, then citizen Henry Frazer voiced disapproval of King Harry I. King Harry responded with a diplomatic solution, and the two decided that Harry would be the king of both Belaĵio and the newly created Amikejo. King Harry I would serve as an absolute monarchy in Belaĵio, and as a figurehead with limited power in Amikejo.

On the 4th of May, 2016, King Harry I decided to give titles to citizens that he felt deserved them. Current titles he has given out are Knight and Duke. Also on that day, he appointed Duke Abe to rule over the enclave in Wagga Wagga.

On the 14th of May, 2016, King Harry I named a close friend and consultant to be the heir to the throne of Belaĵio.

On the 19th of May, 2016, King Harry I decided that Belaĵio should be a Christian nation and revoked the citizenship of 6 citizens.

On the 21st of May, 2016, the constitution started to be written.

On the 1st and 2 June 2016, the first federal election ran. The Liberal Party won with 2 votes and the Democrats received 1 vote.

The Kingdom of Belaĵio is a Constitutional Monarchy. The Government is formed by an Elected Government and the Monarch. The Elected Government is directly proportional to the voter's preferences. Then, the Monarch receives half the amount of seats that the Elected Government receives. Thus, the Monarch receives a third of the seats in Government. The Prime Minister is the leader of the largest political entity. The Monarch can be the Prime Minister. The Elections are on the 1st and 2nd of every month.

Current Government

The Current Government is made up of the Liberal Party with 4 seats, the Monarch with 3 seats and the Democrats Party with 2 seats. The Current Prime Minister is Anna Rutherford.
