This Category is Dedicated to Redirect Pages. Redirect Pages are used when the name of a page is changed. Without these special pages, any link to the moved page on another page would become a broken link. There are three types of redirect pages:
- Normal Redirects, which start at one article and end at the other.
- Broken Redirects, which start at one article lead to a broken link.
- Dead Redirects, which start at the article StartOrphan/Redirects and end at the article EndRedirect. These redirects serve no purpose, and should be deleted.
To find out which Redirection Chains end at EndRedirect, simply go to Special:Whatlinkshere and type in EndRedirect. Before you press Enter, toggle links OFF in the top bar. This will show you ONLY redirection pages that directly link to EndRedirect. To Find out the Origin of a Redirect, simply return to Special:Whatlinkshere, and type in the name of the redirect page. Before you press Enter, toggle redirects OFF in the top bar. This will show you ONLY origin pages that directly link to the given Redirect. If there is no Origin page after toggling redirects OFF, the redirect is an Orphan and must be added to the list at StartOrphan/Redirects
