The July election for Supreme Leader of the Appalachian Commonwealth and Federal Assembly of the Appalachian Commonwealth went smoothly, with a nearly 85% voter turnout. Of the five voters, four voted for the incumbent Supreme Leader of the Appalachian Commonwealth, Alaxender Smith, and one voted for Ms. Violette Oak (not her real name). Then, with a unanimous vote, the Federal Assembly of the Appalachian Commonwealth remained the same.
The fact that there was no government shake-up in a nation with a love for revolutions was disturbing to most citizens. These citizens, fed up with the progressive policies of thē Supreme Leader of the Appalachian Commonwealth, and the general literalness of the Federal Assembly of the Appalachian Commonwealth decided to turn their nation into a group of decentralized communes, and indeed were shortly successful.
After the rebel collapse, particularly in the Hills Commune, they surrendered and were taken back into society. They later were sentenced to a C 5 fine each.
