The Nemkhav Council of Settlement (Ga: Comhairle lonnaithe na Nemcabh, Nkh: Covarija lonsisa Nemkhavji), is one of the most well known institutions in the history of Nemkhavia. It was the first ever Governing body of the Nemkhav people, established three months before the formation of the official Nemkhav nation. Presided over by the founder of the Nemkhav micronational idea, it existed towards the final establishment of a state for it's people.

History

The Nemkhav idea was born on the 4th of April 2009, the creation of future leader Sir Mark Meehan. Back in the early days of the idea, it was unknown what sort of form the nation would take. Different ideas were proposed by different people, all of whom fully identified themselves as Nemkhav people from that point. Originally, the early members referred to themselves as 'Nemarks', in tribute to the new leader. This world was used interchangeably with 'Nemkhav'.

The council contained many figures that would become integral parts of the future nation. At it's peak, the Council was made up as follows:

The Council acted as a sort of Governing body for the Nemkhav people, with Sir Mark acting as a sort of Head of State in his capacity as Chairman of the Council. Throughout April, the Council met regularly to disuss the form of the new state. Each member had their own idea: Ms. Nentjavacska proposed the idea of an Imperial Republic, while the soon-to-be-Colonel Pzacman threw his weight behind a Monarchist nation, an Empire or a Kingdom perhaps. Mr Anjacka was behind the idea of a simple Republic. At the centre of this, Sir Mark put forward his socialist ideas. What followed was a debate that would form the future of the nation.
