The Pickards Field Federation was made after the incorporation of another territory east of the current Pickards Field colony of Scotannaea. This territory was known as Pickards Small Field, however the new introduction of this colony and the abolishment of other colonies meant that there were 2 dependencies named Pickards Field only to be seperated by a road which is based in the United Kingdom. So the Scotan government decided to grant these new territories an autonomous government to which the laws of Scotannaea are still practised but immigration laws and leaders of the federation can be created in their own elections. A new approach by the Scotan government was to grant every Pickards Fielder with both Scotan and Pickards Field Federation citizenship, as the Pickards Field Federation is just autonomous.

The new territory is a federation, not just because of the 2 dependencies which formed it. But also the constituencies inside of it which are represented in the National Assembly of Scotannaea. The local representative for Nicktown (the capital of the Pickards Field Federation) will always be appointed as the Prime Minister of the Pickards Field Federation. The president of the federation will always be the president of Scotannaea because the federation is just an autonomy.

The Pickards Field federation now has more types of land since the territory has got bigger. Before 30th December 2013, Pickards Field was originally just arable land with many living spaces and a long road, but when the Federation was formed, the eastern sector of the Federation was included with forest, marshes, a river, plains with arable land, fallen trees and a stone path.

The ecosystem of the Federation is at risk with deforestation in 3 vital parts of the eastern sector. The western sector's ecosystem is unaffected with plant life to release oxygen into the atmosphere. But in the eastern sector of the Federation, the deforestation in the easternmost part of the sector, that is now the official division line between the National Assembly of Scotannaea constituencies of Underwood and Foxglove. In the Pickards plains however, the ecosystem is being improved by a programme by the town council of the UK to plant trees and help make a bigger forest at the risk that the original one may be cut down for housing. The Scotan and Pickardian governing bodies have no problem on this, but won't worry about the main forest and territory being cut down a little but if the entire original forest is gone, then the Scotan and Pickardian governments will take action and may hold environment protests.

The constituencies are named as they are because Underwood was named after the person which motivated the main explorers Williams, Dukes & Booth to discover and find out about the territory. The motivator was M. Underwood and so the territory and constituency was named after him. Foxglove was named because of the overpopulated amounts of foxes that lived there. Pickards Plains was named because of the flat land that was sealed off by a fence and a gate that was easily accessible to get into. The 2 modern-day constituencies of Underwood and Foxglove were once part of a historic micronation known as Vennyshire which was created by Williams, Dukes & Booth. The nation fell into inactivity till 2013 when it was colonised by the Republic of Scotannaea and incorporated into the original Pickards Field colony. So to avoid confusion with 2 Pickards Fields, the Scotan government decided to call them both "Pickards Field" but give them variants of the Western sector and the Eastern sector.

The Federation has 2 settlements, 1 in each sector. The first one is the capital city of Nicktown with a population of 67 in 2014. Nicktown is named after the administrator of the settlement and UK legal owner, but since the Pickards Field Federation is a different nation, this person isn't the Scotan owner. Nicktown is thriving with market huts, sheds, gardens, cars and rather limited housing.

Saint Jermaine on-the-Ray was once known as just Saint Jermaine, it consists of a fallen tree, island and rather wide space for camping and settlement. The settlement has a population of roughly 6 but in area and size it's smaller than Nicktown and has no resources but the river that provides water for the locals. The "on-the-Ray" was added to the name because the "Ray" is the name of the river which flows through.

Saint Jermaine on-the-Ray and Nicktown have their own constituencies in the National Assembly of Scotannaea because they are cities. This is different for Clares as the capital city of Scotannaea because Clares (the city) is entirely represented in Claresland (the colony).
