Raoul Bouchard was born on 20 October 1996 to parents from the Magdalen Islands. He grows up on the island and very rarely left the island. After the establishment of the Republic of the Magdalen Islands Bouchard was elected to serve as the current leader of the Liberal Party and shall serve as the party’s candidate for the Premiership in the upcoming elections. Bouchard was appointed by Prime Minister Kader Arif to serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs 8 days after the establishment of the Republic of the Magdalen Islands due to the fact that Louise Fournier left that portfolio in order to become Minister of Finance when François Côté, the leader of the Conservative Party, resigned from cabinet to focus on his election campaign.
