Illinois is the capital state of New Europe. It is the home to majority of the Imperial Family as well as the ethnic powerhouse of New Europe.

Kingdom to Fascist State
Originally an Electoral Monarchy set up by King Wilhelm in early 2008. The King was elected by popular vote and made its first pick for Wilhelm, who was also leader of the U.R.N.A. at the time. The King reigned for a two years and had to either step down or run again. Wilhelm stepped down and the state elected James Colaianni as the second King of Illinois. King James reigned for barely a month before he began making arrangements to reorganize the state. After petitioning the Imperial Chanellor and the Emperor he was granted permission to reform the government. Declaring the Electoral Kingdom of Illinois abolished and declared the Social Republic of llinois. Modeling it after Fascist Italy of the 1920 thru late 1930's.
Colonization
On March 2nd of 2009, Illinois has acquired a Colony of a island on the coast of the State of Florida called St Petersburg. Illinois has acquired this by talks with the Emperor and with Florida, and James Colaianni makes visits to St Petersburg to keep the peace, spread the doctrine of Fascism, for New Europe, and for Illinois. James Colaianni has quoted "It has alot of sentimental value to me". *Colaianni on his vacation house in St Petersburg*
